The Tree Of Life Plot Summary:

Laws of life sometimes can be rather tough but with that they make us stronger. The Tree Of Life movie displays realistic, dramatic events many viewers could probably experience during their own course of life, so apart from watching a nice movie you can also immerse yourself in memories of your own childhood or meditate over the existential issues.

The plot focuses on the life story of Jack (Sean Penn). He is an eleven-years-old boy contemplating this world with clarity and directness of a growing child. His mother (Jessica Chastain) teaches him to be kind and unselfish, while his father (Brad Pitt) insists his son should be able to defend his own interests. Jack's parents are different people and everyone wants to convince him that the way of life each of them offers is the right one. But the reality is not a piece of cake however, Jack realized it when he had to face pain, sufferings and even death of a close person. So now the world is not as innocent and bright as he thought it was in his childhood.

Keep in mind that this is a drama movie, so if you are ready for a brainteaser then this is the right choice. The Tree Of Life movie is saturated with spiritualism and content full of moral principles many films lack today. Yet it doesn't look like a sermon or propaganda, it doesn't' intend to convince you, rather to make you ponder over things you are not used to muse on everyday.

This movie is not for everyone though it IS recommended to everyone. It raises lots of problematic questions and can be a nice cause for theological debate. This film is nice to be watched with your friends as you will then have a good time of discussing it. This is definitely the film with the message and it was nice to see such a star cast delivering it to the viewers.

Brad Pitt is an experienced and mature father in real life as well as on the screen. He is perfect. He has his own in a way strict approach in parenting, but you still like him especially when you see him covering his three sons with kisses. Jessica Chastain is his contrast. She is lovely, loving, lovable. She looks fragile, milky white, just like a real angel. The whole movie is seen from Sean Penn's point of view. He managed to reproduce doubts, struggling and conflicts teens usually face when they are not ready to become adult yet they have to. The film is not plain at all, it leaves you something to discover yourself, too. What is more, it stirs your emotions, it makes you muse and does give you fresh impressions. Just watch it and fell its incredible spell.
