Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen (2009)

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) continues the theme of the previous sci-fi film where Optimus Prime heads a Transformers group known as NEST. Their mission is to destroy the remaining Deceptions from the world after they have told him that their leader Fallen still lives and seeks vengeance on Earth. Meanwhile, Sam, the only human with powers to read the symbols of the All Spark, goes to college leaving the tool behind with his lover Mikaela.

Deceptions have also discovered another part of the All Spark and they use it to kill Optimus, the only autobot who can annihilate Fallen. Deceptions then aim to capture Sam who has the symbols in his mind that can resurrect Harvester and allow Fallen to repossess the Earth. Sam and Jetfire seek to resurrect Optimus through the dust of the powerful Matrix.

The militarily weaker autobots and humans finally clash with the superior Deceptions in which the ultimate Sun Harvester is briefly reborn but gunned down by the US officer, Simmons. Sam is killed but immediately revived by the Primes who award him the elusive Matrix of Leadership with which he brings Optimus back to life who finally engages Fallen in mortal combat finally destroying him. Sam finally returns to school.
