The Social Network Plot Summary:

It's not everyday that you get to see biographical film made on famous people, and The Social Network is one movie that you cannot afford to miss if you are on Facebook, as it tells about the founder of the giant of a social networking site. Made with a modest budget of $50 million, the film has been one of the biggest hits at the box office and has been appreciated at all the places where it has been released. Belonging to the genre of drama, The Social Network tells the story of Marc Zuckenberg, founder of Facebook and the youngest billionaire in history. While studying at Harvard and after having been rejected by his girlfriend, mark makes a webpage which allows the users to rate and compare the beauty of female students of Harvard. He becomes famous among the male students but the girls hate him for what he has done. Marc had to hack the databases of the University to find information on the girl students. Initially he calls the website as FaceMash.

Though marc is punished for his brazen act, his genius is noted by business men who invite him to make a social networking site. They want him to make Harvard Connection for the use of Harvard students. Marc begins the work and soon makes a site that is gradually applied to many other colleges besides Harvard. But the idea grows much bigger than anticipated by his business partners and soon translates into what the world now knows as Facebook. Partners are angry but can't do anything as marc has done nothing against the law. The film has some twists and turns and even court scenes where marc has to face charges of breach of trust. But he emerges victorious. The last scene shows Marc sending a friend request to her girlfriend refreshing the page every few seconds hoping she responds.
