Rio Plot Summary:

Let me take you to Rio!

If you were not that lucky to visit Rio de Janeiro, don't lose heart, there is an opportunity to feel the atmosphere of it by watching Rio movie. Awesome cartoon to entertain kids as well as their parents; to get the utmost enjoyment you should better watch it in 3D.

The first impression of Rio movie is great: very colorful, bright and musical cartoon. It's hard to sit still on hearing dashing carnival music, which wraps you up right from the opening credits and get you through to the end of the movie. This is the best cartoon ever made that tells the story about parrots.

Blu is a domesticated blue macaw parrot that has been living in a small town in Minnesota for 15 years already and he could hardly think about coming back to wildlife to Brazil, where actually he was smuggled from. He appears to be the best friend of Linda and the last male of his kind. Seemingly a common offering to bring Blu to Rio de Janeiro in order to meet a female parrot turns into one of the most flamboyant adventure for both Linda and her pet.

First of all, you will love the animation that reflects all natural characteristics of the parrot. It makes it easy to fall in love with Blu and other birds including toucan Rafael, red-crested cardinal Pedro and yellow canary Nico. By the way, the last two are really stunning birds, with the first being a rapper and the second a singing bird. And believe me, this tiny canary with a bottlecap on his hat will make you moving in the rhythm of samba in seconds. Just give it a try rather than reading Rio movie reviews.

Another surprise from Blue Sky Studios is the voice cast. I think the word 'superb' would be an appropriate one to describe it. Jesse Eisenberg as Blu is a perfect choice! His double-quick speed is highlight that actually complements a weird bird. Anne Hathaway as Jewel resembles rather a true fierce restive-tempered Brazilian woman than a parrot. Be ready to hear will.I.am and Jamie Foxx in Rio movie, they both made a great job for giving their voices to Pedro and Nico respectively.

The other thing you will find discussed in many of Rio movie reviews are carnival scenes. So bright, colorful and fabulous they aim to bring you the feeling of gay, they would not be so amazing if not seen in 3D. The most impressive thing is that each inhabitant and even animal/bird in Rio de Janeiro are obsessed with samba and are itching for carnival to start. So, even when the festivity is not that soon to be shown, you'll find that the feeling of anticipation for it is growing on in you. So, don't waste your time, just watch it!
