Rango Plot Summary:

A Lizard? He is going to die! (c)

Indeed, he had all chances to be eaten, beaten, killed and sank but this freaky pet managed to survive. Was he strong enough? Not at all. Authoritative? Far from being the one, he is just a lucky pet who went through a complicated transformation from being a looser to becoming a hero. He is Rango, a chameleon lost in desert.

Rango movie is a computer animated cartoon, which embraced many genres including comedy, romance, triller, western, action and adventure. Definitely involving this film deserves to be given a chance. The story is not too intricate but with a lot of funny, unexpected swifts. First you meet a chameleon without a name, owner and place to live. Logically, he is not determined to muse upon the aim of his life. He has found himself in a desert among local animals, who are delighted by Rango's acting skills. However, alongside good characters there is always a place for the bad ones. There is a red-tailed hawk, rattlesnake and an evil mayor of Dirt city who try to kill Rango for their own reasons.

The strength of Rango movie lies in characters and voice cast. All the characters ranging from minor characters to leading ones are fantastic. They provide lots of laugh and appeal for viewers sympathy. Jonny Depp is the best choice for Rango, as well as for Captain Jack Sparrow, so neatly picked up by Gore Verbinski for both pictures. His charm comes through his voicing, the same as Isla Fisher's authentic accent complements Bean character, a love interest of Rango. Other voice talents heard here are Bill Nighy, Alfred Molina, Timothy Olyphant and Abigail Breslin.

The music also adds some originality to the cartoon, with lost of that peculiar for westerns. Actually, you will find much references to this very genre where there are usually many scenes like I-am-a-cool-guy-come-and-get-me. With more than 100 films under his belt, Hans Zimmer has improved this cartoon by his gorgeous music that suits each scene in most perfect way. He really compensated the flaws of animation. It's not a Pixar movie with breathtaking colors and animation, but it is still commendable, a bit of extravagant and unexpected I would say. Rango movie is not an ordinary cartoon you will forget about just right after the ending credits. Even when you find the trailer not so catchy, consider a great number of positive Rango reviews speaking for the cartoon, which is created more for adults than for kids. Give it a try and enjoy it!
