The Prestige Plot Summary:

One of the highest-grossing film directors in the world, Christopher Nolan is a known experimenter in the field of cinematography, who started his career from Alternative Film & Video Festival and has reached fantastic success. However, he remains rather mysterious, just like his characters from the movie The Prestige.

The Prestige movie is a uniquely twisted story one has to watch very closely not to be mixed up. Fantastic cast led by Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Christian Bale and Michael Caine is very convincing! Hugh Jackman as Robert Angier is an aristocratic magician who meets none the less talented magician Alfred Borden, a man of the common people. They both make a great team and work together till one day Angier's wife died while performing a predicament escape from the water tank. Since then two magicians become sworn rivals competing for creating the most sophisticated trick. And their tricks do impress! If there is a movie to take your breath away, then this is definitely The Prestige; opt for The Prestige movie reviews to make sure it's true.

Christopher Nolan's films are known to be an exceptional cinematic experience, unusual yet very involving to keep you on the edge of your seat. When watching The Prestige, you will find that its timeline is skewed. The storytelling is very intricate, revolving around the conflict, envy, jealousy and rivalry of two magicians. There is a range of flashbacks throughout the movie and shifts from one point of view to another, I think used to grasp all your attention. Though it sounds a bit confusing, but the sets are perfectly detailed, so that the movie itself is not a fault in no circumstances! On the contrary, this is a must see movie and the one recommended for multiple viewing, as you will find more surprises with each look.

However, The Prestige is a dark and gloomy film, with inhuman tricks and cruel competition. Nolan always gives preference to angry characters and he is perfect in characterizing them. Both Borden and Angier are shown as multi-faceted personalities, so sympathetic and detestable at the same time. It seems even London, fantastically depicted in Victorians times, is permeated with evil.

Above all, there are hundreds of The Prestige movie reviews speaking for the film, apart from that five out of six Christopher Nolan's movies, including The Prestige, are among the Top 50 best movies of all time. A weighty argument I think. So, find two hours of your time to enjoy the movie.
