Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (2010)

If you like animated movies, you will definitely love this movie. It is about owls and their imaginary world. Soren is a young owl who dreams to be like his father when he grows up. The film is based upon a novel by the same name written by Kathryn Lasky. Soren has a brother who is lazy and just likes to eat and sleep. Guardians of Ga'Hoole are a legendary warrior group of owls, who are supposedly revered by the owls of the world for their bravery. No one has ever seen them and Soren always thinks of someday meeting these brave owls. Kludd, his brother is jealous of Soren as he is learning fighting skills faster than him. They also have a sister called Eaglantine who loves Soren.

One day Soren and his brother Kludd fall from their nest and are captured by the evil owls who take them to the land of the wicked owls called St. Aegolious which is ruled by Metalbeak. Wicked owls try to brainwash simple innocent owlets to turn them into a fighting army. Metal beak and his mate Nyra are trying to make an army of soldiers to fight for them and to make slaves for picking pellets. They hoodwink powlets by making them look at the sun which brainwashed them and they accepted slavery in lieu of food.

Soren doesn't look at the sun but behaves as if he has been brainwashed. He somehow escapes from the land of the wicked owls with the help of another owl called Barn owl. With help and assistance of a few other like minded owls, Soren goes to Ga'Hoole. Kludd however, refuses to go with him and chooses to be a soldier in metalbeak's army.

In the ensuing battle, Soren and the owls of Ga'Hoole emerge victorious.
