Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs (2009)

In Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), Sid becomes jealous of Manny and Ellie who are expecting their first baby in an ancient world. Sid sets off into the jungle in search of some offspring to care for and discovers three eggs that hatch into three baby dinosaurs. Meanwhile, Momma, their Tyrannosaurus mother, discovers Sid and maroons her together with the three babies into a vast subterranean world inhabited by creatures hitherto deemed to be extinct.

Diego, a lonely tiger who is on the look out for true game after discovering his hunting impotency, accompanies Manny and Ellie to search for Sid. In the netherworld, where reptiles and dinosaurs roam, they are aided by Buck, who is in pursuit of Rudy, the creature responsible for loss of his eye. They cross a gaseous valley that causes uncontrollable laughter till death, finally managing to cross over only to find Sid and Momma in contest for the unseemly offspring. Buck helps them to escape the violent charges of Rudy who nearly destroys Ellie while giving birth in a precipice. The film is resolved when Rudy is defeated and left behind with Buck whose only reason for existence is to avenge himself on Rudy. Sid remains behind with the rest of the herd.
