Hot Tub Time Machine (2010)

This is a time machine movie full of comic incidents. It is 2010, and Adam, Nick and Lou are three buddies who are disillusioned by their lives. Adam has been cheated by his girlfriend, Nick detests his job and Lou is a drunkard and a loser. Lou tries to commit suicide and is admitted to a hospital. The three friends are fed up and decide to relive their life at a resort at K valley. Jacob, a nephew of Adam also goes with them. When they reach K valley, they find that it is in a dilapidated state and no longer a resort. They leave for White Buffalo but even this place is in shambles. All four are sitting in a hot tub outside their room to relieve some stress when suddenly they find that they have been transported back in time to the year 1986. The friends feel no difference, but in their reflections and to other people they look like they were in the year 1986. The only surprise is that Jacob, who was yet not born in 1986, is still a young man as he was in 2010. Initially the friends do not believe they are back in time, but when they see a black Michael Jackson, they are convinced that they are indeed in 1986.

The time they are in also a turbulent time for the friends. They decide not to change anything as it would have dire consequences for them. They find out it is not wise to stay back in time and wish to go back to 2010, but as soon as they start on their journey, Lou decides to stay back in 1986. He thinks he can make profitable investments based upon his knowledge of the future. When the remaining friends come back to 2010, they find that Lou is a successful business man. All 4 unite at Lou's place and live happily.
