Despicable Me (2010)

There have been a lot of super hero movies till date and very successful at that, but Despicable Me is a film about a super villain and his life. Surprised? You got to see the film that is animated but still has a gripping plot that is enough to bind the audiences for the duration of the movie. This is a funny movie that talks about villains and their imaginary world. If you are bored with all the goody-goody movies and yearn for something different, Despicable Me is a movie you must see to know that villains also have a heart and they do have dreams.

The film is all about villains and their fantasy world. Gru is the world's greatest super villain, or shall we say holds the title of the super villain. Now he is feeling lost as someone has stolen the great pyramid and he has dethroned. Gru has been shown as a bald, ugly man who is also aging and feels cheated because of this. He now needs to prove his worth by doing something extra ordinary. He has to prove his might to regain his title, and so he thinks the impossible. He plans to steal the Moon, a heist that has never been even contemplated. Gru however, cannot accomplish this ultimate heist without getting possession of shrink ray, as this is the weapon that will help him in his mission.

There are a lot of impediments in Gru's way. There are other villains who are younger and more enterprising. Gru also faces financial problems for his project as the banks in his world are not willing to provide loans to aged villains.

Gru uses all his might and somehow steals the shrink ray, but another villain steals it from him. Now Gru has to get it back. This is a great movie which makes us think.
