This is a timeless tale of romance between a beautiful girl and an ugly man. Made by Walt Disney Pictures and released in 1991, the film was re-released in 2010 in 3D. This is really a marvel of technology as the film is entertainment personified in Blu-ray High Definition. Beauty and the beast was the first animated film to receive Oscar Awards. The story of the film revolves around Belle, a beautiful and charming girl, and the beast, who is actually a prince having been cursed to live as an ugly man.
Belle somehow finds herself imprisoned in a huge castle where lives the beast. The staff of the beast helps in developing a tender romance between two of the most unlikely contenders, the delicate and beautiful Belle and the ugly beast. Prince Adam got cursed by an Enchantress as he was an arrogant man and this curse turned him into a very ugly beast of a man. There is only one way to turn into a man again and that is to be able to learn someone and to be loved by that person in return. And even this had to happen before his 21st birthday. Now, who in this world would love a beast, of all people?
Maurice is an inventor who lives in a nearby French village. He is roaming in the jungle when gets lost and takes shelter in the castle of the beast. The beast imprisons him. His daughter Belle, a sweet little girl, offers herself in place of her trapped father. The beast agrees but places a condition that she would remain forever inside the castle.
Belle accepts and comes inside the castle. Initially she treats Beast with disdain. She thinks of him as a monster while Beast thinks of her as a stubborn girl. But later, they start loving each other as Belle learns that beauty lies inside a man.
