Amélie Plot Summary:

Amélie, a romantic movie directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, though was shot ten years ago but it still continues to capture the hearts and minds of millions of people worldwide and is one of the most popular films of the present time. This romantic picture depicts a common story of an uncommon girl. Once among all the common people there appeared an absolutely extraordinary girl and the life of many around her has changed since.

Amélie Poulain (Audrey Tautou) is a charming and shy girl living on Montmartre. Her childhood was not merry, because her mother died at an early age and her father has been always isolated from her. Despite all this, she grew a real Parisian: merry, very kind and a little bit hooligan. Due to her humbleness Amelie let her emotions pass through her, concealed from the people but unfold for the viewers. Would you like to find out about her inner emotions and secrets?

One day Amelie realized that she was able to influence on everything and everybody around her by herself, and the main point here is not in a magic wand or in any spells, no! She starts observing people and making conclusions, after all she understands that its just necessary to push people slightly to make the events happen in a right way. This was the beginning of how she starts changing the lives of others. She wakes her father up from his hibernation, returns lost letters to their owner, makes the Glass Man happy and inspires an unlucky writer. She is a sort of a fairy to all these people bringing some magic in their lives.

As it is supposed to be, Amelie should meet a 'prince' to match her. But her prince is not a man of honor and great wealth, but an ordinary and eccentric guy Nino, who works in an amusement park, rides a bicycle and collects scraps of photos. Will he notice her? And here again Amelie pushes him slightly into the hands of their destiny.

Amelie is a very kind, charming, a little bit thoughtful and romantic movie. Romantic in a good sense of it. It is adequately sentimental, rowdy and tangled. Its charm is in its message. Very cozy Paris and absolutely fascinating Amelie Poulain. And of course amazing Audrey Tautou! When we speak about Amelie we think about Audrey Tautou and vice versa. She was really perfect for this role: charming girl with a slightly shy smile and amazing large childish eyes. How can any stay indifferent seeing this embodiment of an angel?

The work of the director is splendid. He made the viewer believe in a charming tale with the help of a style the story is told. Great praise to a sound designer! The soundtrack is a real hit, it adds bright colors to this picture, always accompanying the events on screen.

The film is perfect from the technical side. It is charming, dynamic, with a memorable soundtrack and high-qualified actors' play. But the most important is that it gives positive emotions and leaves a deep imprint in the hearts of the viewers.
