Do you like comedy movies? Comedy movies are quite popular and a lot of people like a comedies more than say a action or drama movie. This is just peoples personal opinions as some people really hate comedy movies and think they are stupid. Do you like comedy movies or are you a action movie kinda person?
Personally I prefer action and drama movies. If you like comedy movies you may just like some of the movies on the Top 10: Best Comedy Movies of 2010 list below. Of the 10 movies below there are some that are action comedy and even some that are drama comedy. Modern comedies are a mix of many things and not just all comedy. Some of the films below you might just not find funny while some of the other ones you might. Take a look at the reviews below and see for yourself if any of the movies are something you will want to see.
1. Scott Pilgrim vs the World (8 out of 10)
Scott Pilgrim is a regular guy who likes this girl. This girl happens to have not had regular boyfriends in the past. In order for Scott Pilgrim to date the girl he likes she tells him he will have to defeat all 7 of her "super" ex boyfriends. See her ex boyfriends all had super powers and Scott has to defeat them in order to date her. If you like cheasy and corney action comedy movies then you are likely to enjoy Scott Pilgrim vs the World. If you don't like cheap effects then you are not going to like this movie. The story is okay but its not meant to be a amazing story, it is meant to be cheap and funny.
2. Death at a Funeral (8 out of 10)
Death at a funeral is a 2010 re-make of a movie made just 3 years ago. The thing is the movie made 3 years ago was a total failure of a movie and very few actually liked it. So will the new Death at a Funeral be liked any more? Well they have comedian Chris Rock in the movie so if you like his form of comedy you might get a few laughs out of it. There are some funny parts in it but they really didn't make a great movie here. This is one of those movies you might watch as a rental but not something I think you will want to see more than once.
3. The Other Guys (7 out of 10)
The Other Guys combines many top actors all into one picture. You have actors like The Rock, Will Ferrel and even Eva Mendes. Now not every time you put a lot of big name actors in a film does it make it a good film. The Other Guys is a descent comedy movie I guess. Really though not everybody is going to like it. The Other Guys is simply pointless humor as most Will Ferrel movies are. If you like films with Will Ferrel in it then you might just like this movie. He does his typical crazy stuff so you will like at least his comedy. Its worth its spot on the Top 10: Best Comedy Movies of 2010 list.
4. Get Him to the Greek (7 out of 10)
Get him to greek is about getting a Singer to a concert. One guy is chosen this task of picking up the singer and getting him back in time for the big concert. The problem is this singer is nothing but a drunk basically who likes parties and a rough lifestyle. The guy who came to get him was just not prepared for all he was getting himself into. Get Him to the Greek shows this singers lifestyle and honestly its very crude. There may be some funny stuff in this movie but be prepared for a lot of raunchy content. Will you like it? Well that is completely up to you.
5. Hot Tub Time Machine (7 out of 10)
Hot Tub Time Machine is about a group of guys who have a good time in a hot tub. One guy says it is male bonding when one guy thinks it is crazy to get in the hot tub with a group of guys. This hot tub however is no regular hot tub and actually is a hot tub time machine. They start in the year 2010 and go clear back to 1986. Hot Tub Time Machine has some funny parts in it and a lot of 80's jokes. So yes, 'Hot Tub Time Machine' can be funny but it is not something for kids. You might like this movie or you might not. If you don't like F words and nudity you will not like this movie. If that does not bother you then you might find the movie funny.
6. I Love you, Phillip Morris (7 out of 10)
This is not your typical Jim Carey movie. In-fact I have never seen Jim Carey in such a film. 'I Love you, Phillip Morris' is about a guy who decides his regular life isn't good enough and he wants more stuff so he becomes a con man. He steels, lies and ends up in jail. The twist on this movie is that he decides he is going to be gay and finds another gay guy in jail. I will spare you the details so if you like gay comedies you might like this one but if that turns your stomach like it does mine then you best steer clear of this movie all together.
7. She's Out of My League (6 out of 10)
Do you believe that some people are just out of your league? Like that you are unable to date them because you are too geeky or whatever? I don't but this movie is all about dating somebody who is supposedly out of their league. A sorta geeky guy who works at a airport doesn't give a girl back her phone and when she calls it she asks the guy to hold it for her. When they meet up she kinda likes him and they start to date. If you like comedy movies with a romantic side you might just like this movie.
8. Date Night (6 out of 10)
This movie is about a date night at the title suggests. Who would have thought? Well in this movie the married couple think it is about time they go out on a nice date night and get away from the kids for a while and just be with each other. With the kids it is not that often they get alone time with each other. Well they go to a nice restaurant without a reservation and can't get in. When another persons reservation is called out and nobody claims it they take it. All is fine until two bad guys show up and say they stole from them. That sets the tone of this action, romantic comedy. If you like a comedy with romance and action yet is still funny you might just like this movie.
9. Greenberg (6 out of 10)
The Greenberg is a movie about a guy who is getting to the age where he sould be doing something in his life yet he really isn't. Not only is he not doing anything in his life he decides that he is going to take it easy. Basically he is lazy and selfish and his actions during the movie show this. It is not until the end of the movie that he decides being the way he has been is not who he should be. 'The Greenberg' has a good story and the acting isn't bad. If you like comedy movies with some drama in them you might like it.
10. Valentine's Day (6 out of 10)
Valentines day is like the title suggests a romantic comedy. As in about all romantic comedies you will have people doing things normal people should not and would not do. This movie is basically a story about people hooking up with each other. Being that this is a comedy you probably expect it to not be based on reality but the stuff is pretty off base to say the least. There are some funny parts in this film so you will laugh some. If you like romantic comedies you might just like this movie.
