I have loved animations since I was a kid. I remember when I was young the best animated movie I saw was the first Toy Story movie. It was such a wonderful and richly detailed animated movie that also had a awesome story. It was not just some kids movie but it was something adults could also enjoy right along with their kids. Even today years later I still love that movie. Below you will find a list of the best and humorous animated movies of 2010.
Animated movies have came a long ways since I was young. Even though I was not young all that long ago. Over the last 10 years movies that are animated are now even more detailed and there are some amazing stories out there for you to enjoy. Some animations since I was a kid have been total failures and not worth watching to a lot of people.
Below on the list you will find several pictures which are actually worth watching. No matter what type of animated movie style you like I am sure you will be able to find something you like. Animated films are no longer just something aimed at making the kids laugh but they also aim to make the adults laugh right along with the kids.
1. Toy Story 3 (9 out of 10)
Toy Story 3 has for sure earned its spot on the best animated movies of 2010 list. It has been many years since we have seen a toy story movie. I remember as a kid watching these movies and really loving them. My whole family actually loved these movies as they were great. When Toy Story 3 came out in theaters we went and saw it. The story picks up where it left off with the whole gang living at Andy's house only now both Andy and his sister are too old for toys. Andy is going to college but is unsure if he wants to take some his toys with him. He decides to put them in the attic but they mistakenly get donated and he misses the toys. If you liked the toy story movies this one is probably the best one yet. You really can't find a movie with a better plot that ties into the previous two films like Toy Story 3.
2. How To Train Your Dragon (8 out of 10)
How to train your dragon is an animation done by the creators or Shrek. So if you liked the animation style of Shrek movies you will at least like the animation of this movie. The characters were pretty good in this movie and it is a great family movie. There will be a lot of giggles during this movie at least for the kids and I am sure the adults will also find stuff funny in it too. It is about a guy who wants to be a Viking but he is to weak to be a Viking so he uses a tool to take down a dragon. Instead of killing it the sets it free and it becomes his pet. I think you will actually like 'How To Train Your Dragon'.
3. Beauty and the Beast (8 out of 10)
'Beauty and the Beast' is a classic Disney movie. If you have not saw this movie you really should. It is a great film for the kids and as an adult you will also find the movie both funny and heartwarming. It is a story about a princess who falls in love with a hideous monster. The monster along with some of the stuff in his mansion turns out to be cursed. He was not always a monster and so without giving it all away just know it has a typical Disney happy ending. You will really like 'Beauty and the Beast'.
4. Despicable Me (8 out of 10)
'Despicable Me' is unlike any other animations you have ever seen. If I could compare it to any animated movie I would sort of compare it to Monsters Inc. with a slight helping of The Incredibles. It has a mix of comedy and action and some of the scenes are just adorable. A super villian inherits 3 children all while trying to pull off one of the biggest crimes in history. With the kids the scenes can be really funny because of how they interact with him. This is a great movie for you and your kids to see. Both you and the kids will find something to laugh about while watching this best animation of 2010.
5. Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (7 out of 10)
'Legend of the Guardians' is based on a popular series of books. The animation of really detailed and rich. The movie is something you don't have to have read the books to understand. It is a story about owl guardians who protect those who need protecting. One owl wants to be like the guardians and protect people but most others say that the guardians are just a story. Are the guardians real or are they fake? Watch the movie and find out for yourself.
6. Megamind (7 out of 10)
Maybe for you most animated movies are just too well boring. Maybe they do not have enough adult related stuff into them so that when you take your kids to see it they laugh, but you hate it and can't wait for it to get over with. Megamind starts out with a story similar to superman but with a twist that two families send a son to earth from a distant planet as it about explodes. One takes up villany and one takes up justice. This movie is really witty and can be quite funny. Megamind is voiced by none other than Will Ferrel. I think you will really like 'Megamind' and so will the kids.
7. Shrek 4 Forever After (7 out of 10)
After all these years the final Shrek movie is here at last. In a way that is kind of sad but Shrek has had a good run of descent and quite funny animated comedy movies. This is one of the most action packed Shrek films they have made. It is almost sad to see the series of movies come to a end. Luckily they did not go out without a bang. This movie starts with Shrek just wanting to feel like a real oger again. He makes a deal with a guy and the deal is actually a trap. He is taken to a alternate reality where nobody knows him. The woman he loves can't even stand him. I do not want to give away the whole plot so I will just say if you liked any of the other Shrek films you will love this one!
8. Alpha and Omega (5 out of 10)
Aplha and Omega is an animated movie about wolves. It is a great movie for kids and I think most adults will also find some good humor during it too. It is about a pretty female Alpha wolf who is at the top and good at all kinds of stuff. She is a great wolf at the top of the pack. At the other end there is a guy omega wolf at the bottom. He doesn't have the class she does but he likes her. His friends basically tell him she is out of his league. One day they both get knocked out and took far away in order to repopulate another area. This starts the movie off as they try and find there way back home all while realizing they both make a great couple. I think you will really like this movie.
